Ergonomic Principles - The Big Three
- Ergonomic analysis requires consideration of three (3) main risk factors:
- Force;
- Repetition; &
- Posture.
- Each of these factors alone poses a risk of injury. However, it is the "Critical Combo" between all three (3) factors that poses the greatest risk of injury.
- Optimizing your working posture, controlling the frequency (repetition) rate, and minimizing forces can decrease the risk of injury and enhance your task performance.
- The next few slides will provide some information on these key ergonomics principles as they relate to office work.
